It's a matter of perception

A good orator will excite the people. That is Obama's gift. A calm, cool voice of reason in chaos. Someone that speaks and will elicit confidence. A strong presence.

Kennedy was a good president. History has him as a great president because of his oration. Amazing speeches.

It's called leadership. Politics 101, duh.

Yea my bar is high because we have needed a good leader. Hopefully he'll have the smarts and good people to carry this ahead.
