The night of Arafat
In a few moments we will begin the night of Arafat. That is the evening before the day of Arafat. When is Arafat, Inshallah, at Fajr Salat tomorrow morning. But the evening after midnight before the Fajr salat is extremely holy and blessed.
I was invited to a friends house today to break my fast with them. It was so nice to sit with tons of Muslims breaking their fast together. As we gobble down our food, I turned around to see so many enjoying the many foods brought to us. I am not sure of the Arabic name but a Kabsa like dish with highly spiced chicken, we had salads, yougurts and for desert they had cake of eid (traditional date coookies)and tea. We all finished our time with some Arabic Coffee (black coffee made with no sugar) It was a beautiful time. Then as I was leaving I looked up at the moon and told my friend look at the blessing Allah is giving us. A welcome to your life. If anyone fast on Arafat they will be forgiven of their sins both this year and last year, what a wonderful benefit and blessing from Allah, swt. Imagine how generous our Lord is.
So in preparing for the day tomorrow, I felt it necessary to spend some time making daawah and ibadah for my lord and fellow Muslims and for those not understanding our religion. Many follow this website not as Muslims but as curious onlookers. As I see so many hits, I am aware that many are wondering what is going on here. I am in hopes that if even one person makes a difference that I would of had all the blessings in this life and the next that I needed.
So what should we do. First I am paying forward what I can here with you guys. In order doing more than what is a benefit for myself. I will finish posting the entire dream dictionary for all of you to benefit.
Things I suggest not necessary what is right for everyone. It is a great misconception that that worship entails only prayer.
1. Read as much Quran as possible as the Angels press their lips against your for each letter you recite and the correct pronunciation is returned to Allah, swt. How perfect our religion is.
2. Pray as much as you can.
3. Make zikr, Praise Allah,
4. Say as many blessings as possible for our beloved prophet (1000 will recieve the word of Jannah, before he dies, not a hadith hasan)
5. Recite Iyat Al kursi as many times as possible.
6. Reicite Sura Ikhlass as much as possible (minimum 100 times)
7. Recite La illah illah lah 100 times.
8. Thank Allah for all your blessings and for all the problems we have in our life. Always be thankful for everything.
9. Remember the dead, the sick and the mujahadeen and their family.
10. Study the Glorious Sunnah and hadith.
11. Give zakat and sadakah
12. Do good deeds for our family members. Kindness to your spouse is a great blessings.
12. Wake your family members to pray Qiyam Prayers.
13. Be kind to your pets and strays who are hungry.
14. Watch TV for the Hajjis making their hajj journey to remind us of Allah's blessings and a hope for our own journey.
15. Pray for all our friends, family and neighbors.
I hope this helps us or reminds us of the many things we can do to praise Allah and to remember to send blessings on our prophet, pbuh, his family and his companions and I hope that we all have an accepted Day of Arafat while we are fasting and enjoying Allah's many blessings.
