How were you diagnosed and was it a type-specific test? It's worthwhile knowing your type. This leads me to another thing.. Some 90% of herpes simplex infected people don't know they have it because they don't have obvious symptoms.

Most people get their herpes infection from someone who is not experiencing symptoms at the time.. Think about it. If you've got an active symptomatic outbreak, sex is likely to be just a bit uncomfortable.
