Yes, lower your dose until things settle down a bit....sounds like you've got a lot of toxins stirred up that are not being eliminated fast enough. Whenever you experience an exacerbation of symptoms this is likely the case. When you experience a decline in your bowel functioning drop back on the amount of psyllium you're taking...don't increase it! If you're starting to get sluggish taking more psyllium will possibly bind you and increase the problem. Because of your particular health problems you have to be more careful about cleansing than others...as you indicated, the slightest thing can get you out of whack!

I understand what you mean about the smell and outgassing of the enema equipment...since most of them are made of plastic this is a problem. You might want to check out what they have at enemabag.com...latex equipment may be an option...I'm not sure. You could probably contact the woman who runs the site and explain your problem...she might be able to offer a solution...I'm sure others have encountered the same thing. If you can find some appropriate equipment, it would certainly make things much easier for you...keeping things moving really seems to make a big difference for you. Tweet
