But, before I can read all that, what about any wastes or toxins in urine? My TCM doctor said she doesn't recommend drinking urine because of this. Is she missing something?

I do know (or have read) that urine is sterile, but aren't there any waste products in there? And if not, then why is it being pissed out of the body?
