I have posted here before about my odor but have found some new symptoms that might narrow this all down. From the start I have 2 odor. One is a lingering musty/egg odor that I have been working on. Pinpointing leakygut/candida-TMAU. The second is a very explosive rotten egg odor that I get. This odor doesn't happen as much. About a week ago I saw a new GI dr. who told me to mix kefir with yogurt as the smell is coming from a flora imbalance. I told him I have been doing Oregano oil/coconut oil with probiotics-primal Defense ultra for three months now. He said if I haven't seen symptoms to change the probiotics to a different brand. He insisted I take the kefir/yogurt mixture anyway. I told him I was allergic to milk and he said since the mixture will break it down itself with the live cultures I WILL NOT have a problem. I went home gave it a try. Next day I went to work I lasted 3 hours and smelt up the entire side of my building with the most intense rotten egg odor, not to mention my breath reeked of a sour acid smell. Also I realized later I was really dehydrated. I could barely spit. I drank my usual amount of water which should be enough. One more thing I realized I have left out is that 1 year ago when I got my endoscopy he said I had acid reflux and he gave me protonix for 2 weeks and no further treatment. Well then I thought I don't have heartburn but I do regurgitate my food up daily after I eat. Here's where I started realizing this could be a different problem than I first thought. I looked up acid reflux and I found the Lower esophageal sphincter can get irritated and stay open. It listed the irritants-alcohol,strong chocolate, tobacco, acidic juices/fruit, etc. All the foods that I wrote down that cause the explosive odor. Does anyone know if it is possible for gases to escape through the esophageal sphincter? If this is true maybe the lingering odor could be a result of the sphincter not being tight enough. Can being allergic to milk be tied to a malfunctioning sphincter? I don't drink milk but this would help find the source. Thanks, Wesley
