There are probably a few I missed and some are holidays we celebrate but that did not originate here. I find it so funny that we are always celebrating. Many can't afford their homes and thousands on the streets homeless but we feel obligated to entertain. So the stores are extremely happy. These are the days they live for and the prices go up but we have to have the turkey and hopefully not ham. I remember when I was there in America I could buy a turkey for .39 cents a pound. What is it going for now? The stores are they giving in charity and helping the needy, I hope so. There are many in need. I remember once I was there and I adopted a family and I went to Albertson's and told them that I had adopted a family and my workers were helping and I wanted a Christmas Tree, they gave me the tree, bulbs and a turkey. The workers brought 6 car loads of used toys, and new ones, food from factories and groceries so much it would make Santa laugh. The people started crying when we came in. The problem is these people had no stove or refrigerator for all the food. They told us that they would find some where to cook the turkey. The children was so happy and so pleased and everyone was jumping up and down. Salvation Army wanted to collect the things and divide up but my mother worked for Salvation Army and I knew the owner took all the good stuff for him and his family so I wanted to personally give the gifts. What a wonderful feeling that was. I bet if you guys go to Safeway or Albertsons or whatever your local store is and tell them what I did, they would help out too. Happiness on the holidays lets share it with everyone.
Tiffani my friend said something very good. She said I like to give to other countries but she felt like we should take care of the neighbors first and I agree. Take care of your neighbors and let no one go without this season.
