--Kelp Varieties--Answer about Sodium to Potassium ratios--

Hi refreshed,

Your question: Is it true that warm water kelp has more potassium in it and cold water kelp has more sodium?

If so, would taking warm water kelp be good for some in the summertime?

Answer: Yes, it may be True that the Warm water Kelp may have more Potassium in it of the same Variety than the when grown in Colder waters!

Yet it may still be Best to utilize the Cold water kelp and just utilize a Different Variety !

WHY do I mean by a Different Variety?

The Ascophylum kelp Variety naturally will contain a Higher ratio of Sodium to Potassium regardless of the waters it is grown in, but will vary with water temperatue as to the amounts !

Whereas the Lamanaria Digitata variety of kelp will contain a Greater ratio of Potassium to the amount of Sodium, thus it may be a Better choice for one to utilize in Hotter weather or for someone having too much Sodium to the amount of Potassium in their body?

One needs to remember that one may take one or the other kinds of Kelp as their body changes it's ratios because of the Variety and Kelp composition, one may need to change Kelp Variety at some later point, if the variety of Kelp one is taking Fails to Continue to raise their pH !

As usual not everything may be as it may 1st seem to be !

Smile Tis your choice.
