Look the bottom line is that you are doing this for yourself and in an ideal situation you would have read the book and educated yourself on how fasting works and what to expect and any repercutions if any depending on your goals or any specific conditions you are trying to address.

Usually in the general populace people have absolutely no clue about the MC or fasting in general and their reaction is always Oh you're crazy. You're gonna die without protein, your butt is gonna fall off ;+D and on and on. Unless you are around folks familiar with fasting, the policy I've found best is to divulge as little information as possible as to what you are doing. If pushed to comment I'll just smile and say things that this is just a special energy drink or something to the effect. If telling you you're nuts doesn't work or you don't listen. People will always want to be right so they'll take it to the next level and tell you you look like crap. When in fact you feel really good, your eyes are bright and clear, your skin has been clearer softer and smoother than ever and on and on. So bottom line is just don't put much or any stock on what uninformed people are telling you.

Basically you're not gonna loose anything that your system needs and if you are informed and follow up with a healthy eating plan and exercise
post MC, whatever might have seemed as a little to much weight loss will come back and better than before the fast. For those concerned with to much weight loss do the full 4 liters daily(12 drinks) and stay active and get some form of exercise every day.

The real crux of reaping the real benefits of any form of fasting lies in what you do after the fast and what you put back in the system for the rebuilding process. In my book this is the most overlooked fact about how fasting works.
