Hi. I don't know the exact answer to your question, except that these instruments are still considered experimental..

On curezone there has been lots of discussion on the BT7 Biotuner by Dr. Bob Beck Electric Medicine). It is exactly the same thing.. I believe it is the original. It is also cheaper and stronger than the AlphaSTim. There is also another forum on Yahoo which discusses it..
