The Peeling Lip Cycle Returned...

 This is a post from someone in healthboards.com. They have lots of other threads related to EC. Go to skin problem and search "lips". I think we should all unite into a bigger more coordanated community.

Basically my lips grow back cracked, turn white and peel off every few days.

My cause differs from most though however as most of the people reporting on that thread had bitten their lips for many years. I hadn't.

I started taking a number of supplements in my diet that were supposed to help with collagen growth due to me having laser surgery on some minor acne scarring and I believe the skin on my lips changed due to this and grew back too quickly as if my immune system went into overdrive. It's also possible it may have given me a yeast infection which i'm on Daktacort hyrdocortisone 1% for at the moment.

This seems to help hide the problem but I'm due to discontinue and when I did this last week the problem just returned.

Anyone have any ideas on what can be done.
