Don't expect the same results or to maintain the same energy levels by excluding the cayenne and the MS.
The cayenne promotes circulation and helps loosen the mucous in the system. It also has many healing properties and to the vast majority of experienced MC'rs it is considered a/the KEY component of the MC. I've even read the MC referred to as a "cayenne delivery system". To have any therapeutic effect the cayenne needs to be at least 90K HU (heat units) while most regular store bought stuff is only in the 30 to 40K range. It is most common for experienced folks to add 1/4 + tsp of cayenne per drink.
The Maple Syrup while used to provide carbs and minerals it is one of the things that makes the MC unique versus water fasting in that these carbs and minerals will provide energy to maintain normal every days activities.
The other key factor of any fasting modality is elimination of toxins so doing the Salt Water Flush daily and or also doing a laxative tea is also key to the efficient elimination/purging of toxins from the system. Not including either of these elimination aids to help the system pass toxins out could make it very uncomfortable and you may suffer from too many toxins released at once and being reabsorbed by the system when not readily eliminated by excluding the SWF and the lax tea. This exclusion has a high potential of making things very uncomfortable and possibly making you feel quite ill.
