has anyone tried owens method of growing wheatgrass

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has tried owens method of growing wheatgrass. his is grown hydroponic without the soil and the directions are posted on the curezone.
I am currently not growing wheatgrass, but was thinking of trying his method as it seem like the easiest and less expensive way to do it.
