Shop at thrift stores. Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc.
I realize there are some who have an aversion to wearing clothing that others have worn, but there can be some mighty good deals. Several years ago a couple of my early teen's granddaughters needed some clothing for school. Their parents were divorced and money was tight with everyone, me included. Both said they had rather do without than shop at a thrift store. I told them is all I ask is to look at the clothes and did not have to choose anything. By the time we left the store, both had a grocery type basket full of really nice clothing. Some still had new tags on them. Even I was surprised at how little I got out for. All three of us happy.
