Re: concerned gramma!!

It's possible that the baby is lactose intolerant. Does it run in your family or the dad's family? My daughter refused to breastfeed so I had to put her on formula. We tried the milk-based ones but she was very fussy and would often draw her knees to her chest when she fussed. It was then that we realized that she was probably lactose intolerant. That did run in my family. We told the pediatrician and our daughter was switched to a soy-based formula. The difference in her behavior was dramatic! So...I would suggest to your daughter that she ask her doctor about switching to a soy-based formula. If it doesn't seem to help, the let the pediatrician know.
