Is Mucoid Plaque Real or Fake?

Hi... I have a question about mucoid plaque.

Is it real or is it fake? I have heard two different sides, and frankly, I'm not really sure what to believe. I don't believe that all of the pictures on Colonix's website is mucoid plaque, like they say is is. I think it's just the psyllium that is in the product, just coming out on the other end.

Other people have said that mucoid plaque is something that affects them and they do a bowel cleanse every year, just to help keep them at optimal health. But when I ask my gastroentrologist, he tells me that there's no such thing as mucoid plaque... so, i'm not really sure what to believe.
