Does water help for you?

Hi guys does water help for you guys?? It really helps for me it reduces the swelling like 70%. Well it used to but when i started putting things on they went to hell :( soo guys does water help you guys or make it worse??? I heard that if your lips hit water and they turn white it could be EC is that a bad thing of them turning white? Only my top does and it is like a line between the inside and the outside of my lips is that what you guys are talking about??
