Re: So where is the evidence?
thanks for your reply Rob
Is there any way of telling if bacteria in the gut is the cause? I'm guessing the answer is no and doctors just chuck
Antibiotics and it and hope for the best
Before I stumbled across this candida stuff I was suspicious that my problems may have been bacterial, that they may perhaps have began with my sinuses and caused my stomach problems so I treated them with
Antibiotics and noticed a few things. I first used amoxycillin which is usually good for the sinuses, I got some relief in that area but nothing for my stomach. After that I tried another
Antibiotic where I remember actually having one really good day where I was starting to get better, but as soon I stopped the course it all returned.
I've done the stock standard candida diet- no sugar, no wheat, no dairy as i couldn't hand it, nothing fermented etc but it doesn't seem to have done enough.
I have noticed some things definetly cause my symptoms to flare up- sugar, wheat, onions to name a few
Now I'm on the caveman diet and have been for the past fortnight or so, I found I couldn't really handle grains or even blueberries.....is my best hope just to stay on something this restrictive for a little while and then slowly reintroduce other things if and when (fingers crossed) I get better? Doesn't seem like there are really any other options as the orthodox doctors are not giving me any kind of sign of what is going on and I'll die before I ever part with my money to see a naturoquack.
