Re: Major Cramping

Yes, I have had cramping (and have it now) with the Mirena IUD. I recently loss 18 pounds through diet and exercise. I am a healthy 31 year old and no problems. I do have a new partner and together over the last 4 months with a healthy sex life. Between that and now running 3 times or more a week as well as lifting weights, I started to have spotting and cramps. After Xrays taken this week, it was discovered that the IUD did move and is hanging low along the cervix. It still works and can be moved or removed and replaced, but altimately still works. The dr said the spotting could be either a yeast infection or a result of hormonal changes in my body as a result of losing weight. I'll find out more when I can get back to the dr for more tests in mid december.
