I'm Just Horrified

I am 22 years old and had Mirena placed back in August of this year. I got Mirena because I was told it was the safest form of birth control for me since I was born with heart disease(had open heart surgery at 18 months) and now have an arrythmia. I had just had a laparoscopy and was told that I needed ongoing treatment to keep endometriosis from coming back. So I got Mirena. I cramped for a few days after and then felt fine for about another week until I had a 3 1/2 WEEK PERIOD!!! And even after my period went of in mid October, I was still pretty much cramping everyday until my period came back on last Thursday. I noticed that I felt funny since having the Mirena placed, but just thought it was all in my head. I have almost been in a state of paranoia because my nerves are so bad and my heart palpatations feel somewhat different. I just happened to come on this site when searching about the negative affects of Mirena and really wish I had saw this site before I got it. I am horrified at the number of women who are suffering as a result of Mirenna as well as the problems that this IUD has caused. I've only had it for about 2 1/2 months but I'm scheduling an appointment to have this thing taken out ASAP! Tweet
