Sublingual? = Whoa Baby!
SSKI + Niacin ==> Sublingual? = Whoa Baby!
Great Morning to Ya!
As I was getting my water bottles ready last night for my daily commute.
I had of course added 6 drops of SSKI in each.
I pondered on how best to add the niacin.
Do I pop the pill on leaving the house?
As most know, it would be hit or miss on how much stomach distress might occur on an empty stomach.
The effect for me at worst case would be slight stomach upset for a few minutes.
Then most likely a painted horse affect.
But with regular consumption of 100mg niacin twice a day, the symptoms of painting should abate, but the stomach distress?
I guess I'd find out.
Wait a sec.
I drop a niacin pill into each bottle.
Consuming the water over the 30 minutes it takes to get to work may reduce stomach problems?
Hummm, the pill doesn't look like it's too water soluble so I'll just make sure I shake it up before drinking.
Morning comes, as I'm drinking I get the weird idea of "oil pulling" or swishing the water.
(No doubt a telepathic emission from Trapp....;-)
Ten minutes from work and I feel a slight itching or pressure of the eyeballs.
My head goes warm, not "hot", warm.
My shoulders then arms go warm.
Has to be sublingual or the SSKI or both?
Never had niacin follow an even path before.
I get to work and look in the bathroom mirror.
Head is a warm red, not "bright" red.
How weird, both arms have distinct mottled effects but completely even.
I had some very slight itching at the inside wrist and inner elbow but nothing indicating full arm involvement.
It's not the painted horse effect as the involved areas aren't "solid" red.
There is no "intense" heat or "wow I really want to itch" this area what so ever.
I've used niacin over 3 decades on and off, never had such affects as this.
Did the SSKI "cool" down the niacin effects?
Or was most of this from sublingual usage?
The even flow path indicates this.
Can't wait for the trip home!
Carry On!
