Re: Question for Ptree on toxins & cellulite!
You can be fat and not have cellulite and you can be thin and have cellulite. Toxins are stored in fat...in terms of the cellular structure, I couldn't tell you...but as you clear the toxins you should see improvement in the cellulite. The liver is your primary organ of detoxification and this process occurs in two steps: Phase I & II. In phase I the fat-soluble toxins are converted to intermediaries and in phase II they are made water-soluble so that they can be eliminated. If your liver is not funcitoning properly this conversion is not completed and toxins accumulate. Actually, some of the intermediaries that occur in phase I are more toxic and damaging (including altering DNA!) than the original toxins...and many people are phase I dominant. All the cleanses can help to reduce your toxic load...but the liver does most of the work on a cellular level. The function of the liver and the colon are both essential to detoxification and good health...and, in my opinion, are the most important cleanses.
Cellulite is far more common in women...estrogen-dominance is also a problem for many women and also influenced by the funcitoning of the liver. Connection?...don't know, but possibly.
Dry skin brushing is a great way to reduce cellulite...go to the
Bowel Cleanse Archive forum for more info.
Don't wait until your flush to get things moving...do something about it right away so that you feel better. The longer you remain constipated the worse you will feel. The
Epsom Salts should definitely have you racing to the loo...but don't wait until then!
