To my Supporters..and Adversaries

One thing I will say about this debate forum is that we are all playing the game with passion. Win or lose. We have thrown our hats into the ring. I truly believe our exchanges here get a bit overheated at times and I must say I am just as guilty as those 'who don't get it'.

I do not wish any of them malice-even when I get completely worked up over an issue and get caught up in frustration. Maybe I am not conveying my thoughts with clarity. I can certainly accept responsibility for that.

I must question everything. Even myself. That is my nature. I have strong opinions. But why not? Should I be ashamed of that? You may judge as you wish.

I hold harmless those with whom I have parried, vilified and jostled. Maybe to no effect I am sure. However I know there are others who have wished me well and thanked me for expressing my thoughts as I have.

I feel this forum has helped me to understand myself, why I love this country and what it stands for. There are those who disagree. So be it.

I cannot change the minds of others and I see that my desire to bring forth exchanges makes me become a bit of a firebrand at times. Hey, nobody's perfect. I get worked up and excited and say things here that I would most likely never say to somebodies face no matter how odd their views were.

So I think I have learned some things through this forum that would not have surfaced otherwise. I want to thank my secret supporters especially. You are so kind. (smile)

And I will just say to my fellow debaters you have done a great job. This includes DQ, #59245, QE, and Telluride. So parry on!
