Extreme emotional symptoms and physical symptoms cured mostly by estrogen - am i the only one?

Hi All,
I am new to this group. After living 8 months of pure hell, I am finally a normal functioning person again! I am just in shock what i went through and I want to know if there are others who had similar reactions. All my doctors can't believe that after going on birth control with a high dose of estrogen, that I am 100% emotional symptom free and 75% physical symptom free. Please let me know if I am not alone?

2.5 years ago, I literally woke up one day and life was different. I felt a weird depression, anxiety and just plain out of it. I just knew this was perimenopause because I am someone who has suffered from severe PMS. No doctor would listen to me and instead kept giving me antidepressants. I went off the antidepressants after some time and actually felt better but not totally myself. I kept having this bizarre anxiety that was not normal. I am a pyschotherapist and I could tell the difference between the two.

8 months ago, I decided to try several antidepressants for my PMS. I had severe reactions to both of the trials including suicidal thoughts and zombie like behavior. After stopping both, the symptoms did not stop and I thought it was other medications I was on and stopped them. I had also been to several foreign asian countries and thought for sure I got some weird parasite. I was living in Japan at th time and decided it was time to return to the states for some help.

My symptoms were (not daily), jitteriness, weird anxiety, eloctrocution type feeling, visual disturbance, dizziness, surging headaches (mild), my head and ears plugging up, my face and jaw get intense pain, and then add on suicidal thoughts, and horrible surging feelings through my body and excessive crying. These episodes would typically but not always happened after eating. Of course, every doctor said this was pyschiatric and I knew it wasn't.

I got tested for every gastro disorder, endo disorder, and now neurological disorder because the symptoms were so bad. After being put on Levora birth control, ALL my emotional symptoms disappeared, ALL my gastro issues disappeared and I am left with 25% of these weird physical symptoms which are very mild.

I am still in shock that I was so suicidal and I have no history of this type of thinking or behavior. I am also in shock that much of physical symptoms are gone. Has anyone else experience anything like this? The suicidal thoughts? The weird physical stuff? Also, has anyone ever had that type of reaction to antidpressants? I have been on antidepressants since my 20's for PMS and so this was such an odd reaction for me. I continue to be treated for adrenal insufficiency although I do not have the symptoms and the cortisol test came back negative. I am also being treated for erractic blood Sugar but it is looking like that is not an issue anymore. But my endo has no idea what to do with the weird physical symptoms which at this point I can live with after what i have been through.

Sorry for the long message and hopefully I am not alone. Thanks
