No October surprise likely, but that is not Obama's original BC
Okay, that is NOT Obama's original birth certificate. What it is, is a computer generated and laser printed certificate of live birth from Hawaii. Factcheck.org is an Annenburg organization, and thus it is easy to see why some would question their objectivity. However, it appears that what you posted is a genuine document which came from Hawaii. And it appears that Obama was indeed born in Honalulu. Listing the race as "African" appeared at first to be a huge red flag - although it stretches belief to think that the ultra-slick Obama campaign would make such an obvious error. The answer may well be found in the explanation by a Hawaii Department of Health employee's statement that
"we accept what the parents self identify themselves to be."
It is not that hard to imagine that the senior Obama would have described himself as "African" instead of "negro".
Interestingly, a Clinton supporter who was trying to dig dirt on Obama instead found corroborating evidence of his Hawaiin birth with an announcement in the Honolulu Advertiser on Sunday, Aug. 13, 1961

What we have still not seen is the original document, and the fact that it has not been released leaves the original to be very much in question. Speculation is that one reason may be that Obama's parents were not legally married at the time of his birth - because the original birth certificates in Hawaii at the time had an entry for "Mother's Marital Status". Hardly the October surprise some might wish for, but it would still put the lie to Obama's version of his history.
