Hey Patti.

So sorry to hear your news about your friend! I lost my 34 year old brother a few weeks ago when his liver failed after a hard fought battle with cancer (7 months from diagnosis), so I guess I have some idea of what you're going through. If only, huh? Apparently at the age of 18 he was told by a naturopath that he had the liver of a 60 year old. I am thankful I have found this site now, but it's too late for my brother.
