What causes High Diastolic normal Systolic pressure?

My dentist measured my blood pressure today and said my blood pressure was 130 over 100.

I've always considered myself to be very healthy. From what I can gather a high systolic pressure is an indication of hardened arteries but what does a high diastolic pressure mean?

I'm thinking that since my systolic pressure is relatively normal for my age of 45 that most high blood pressure advise may not apply to me.

I'm pretty in touch with my body and my own best guess is too much salt. But I've been craving it. I'm thinking that I may actually be craving something else instead like minerals. Does it sound like I'm on the right track?

Can anybody email me some websites or information that I can look into?
