Re: Will hunger return if....

Hello fasting2goal,
The simple answer is yes, but before that point has been reached.
Hunger can return well before the depletion of food reserves if the body has accomplished all it can by way of cleansing and healing.
It is also well established within Hygienic circles that the genuine return of hunger (a persistent and constant demand for food and nourishment) will reveal itself even within days of the commencement of a fast for those reasons and even with ample food reserves to hand.

However, it is also well established that hunger will return usually well before these food reserves are depleted even when almost down to the skeleton condition and before there is any danger of starvation with what Shelton described as "in all savable cases" that were not terminal. One case he referred to was that of a small boy who accidentally drank some Sulphuric Acid, which so damaged his stomach that no food was of any benefit whatsoever: he lived for thirty four days without food AND water!!!

Sometimes there is a need for more healing and cleansing than one protracted fast will allow and a second or even third lengthy fast is required to achieve the maximum healing potential of the body.
One other point here is that the body will concentrate mostly on cleansing to begin with and where healing takes a back seat, but where the body is internally clean from the outset of a fast, the body will concentrate all its efforts in the job of healing almost exclusively. An internally clean environment at the start of a fast means that healing will be accomplished within a much shorter time-frame than would otherwise be the case.

Hunger will always return before food reserves have been exhausted and well before the onset of starvation (Shelton). Your body has the innate ability to determine the length of a fast and before any damage has been caused thru starvation; just as the body will signal a powerful demand for water if you are deprived of fluids for any great length of time, or the absolute demand for sleep if deprived of this for any great length of time as well.
Your body is by far the best judge here: all WE have to do is listen and learn from its own inimitable and unmistakable signals.
