If you can get to it as a tingly area before the blister forms, ice or baking soda can stop the blister forming.

After the blister forms lysine will reduce the healing time.

Abreva actually helps the body by inhibiting viral fusion.

This is probably the only med I recommend.

The main ingredient is Docosonal.

Docosonal is found naturally in a variety of foods.

Hey wait a sec.

Rice bran is a particularly rich source of docosanol.

Making a poultrice of rice bran might do the job....;-)
