Bird hitting a ceiling dream

Hello,
I would like to ask about a recurring dream that I have been having every few years or so for as long as I can remember. The dreams may differ one from the other in the smaller details, like the time of day or location. But they are basically the same dream. In these dreams, I am a bird. I’m inside an impossibly large open warehouse type building. There is no one or thing chasing me, but I find that I’m continually trying to fly upwards only to find a ceiling hampering my accent. Well, When I reach this ceiling I fly horizontally along its length until I see a large opening in the ceiling, I fly through this opening, I ascend to what I think will be my freedom and then bam! Another ceiling, so again I fly horizontally , the ceiling only inches above my bird body until I come to another large opening in the ceiling, I fly up into the opening expecting to find the wide open space of the great outdoors only to hit yet another ceiling. This goes on and on. I also have one where I’m flying through open windows, I never reach out doors, Just when I think I’ve flown thorough the window leading to my freedom, I find myself not outside but in another room that has, still another window to fly through. I fly through it, and find that I have only entered another room, I head for this room’s window… it goes on and on. I have never made it outdoors in these dreams. Any ideas on what this could mean?
