To me, the best part is that the Constitution may be having a long needed revival.

One recent news article said, "Bush and a host of leading congressional figures had implored the lawmakers to pass the legislation despite howls of protest from their constituents back home. Despite pressure from supporters, not enough members were willing to take the political risk just five weeks before an election."

Notice that the leaders were imploring the congresspeople to ignore their constituents.

Despite my failing retirement portfolio, I have to smile that the people have not been ignored. This, even though the people are made ignorant by our leaders' lack of attempts to explain why whatever is required.
