If your candida is severe, you should not do a fruit diet as it will feed the candida. You would need to get the levels of candida down substantially before eating fruit and then go slowly.

Here is Dr. Biamonte's opinion:

fruits sugars aggravate most of our patients symptoms. So I will conclude that it is not ok on the candida diet.

also:

Berries and granny smith apples are allowed, however in the early stages of candida infection the Sugar in fruit will spread candida. When candida is greatly reduced and your concentrating and getting your friendly flora to grow back the fruit Sugar can be helpful.
