coconut milk

I am a high school teacher. I am currently teaching a girl who had the worst case of fever blisters I have ever seen. I don't get fever blisters so I've never researched them. My students bottom lip had at least 7 blisters that were bloody and turning black. Her lip looked like it was going to rot off. She was in a lot of pain and any time she smiled they would crack and bleed.

I was researching coconut milk for other reasons when I saw that it was supposed to "cure" the herpes virus. I told my student on Friday. Her blisters were over 2 weeks old and getting worse daily. She made a smoothie with coconut milk on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. When I saw her today (Monday) the blisters are almost completely gone and her lip is pink and normal size. I couldn't believe it. Has anyone else tried this?
