Off Iodine - Follow up - Hormones

First, many thanks for your support! It warms the heart to feel part of the Iodine Family! :-)

I have solved the lack of Iodine problem with Pranayama/Yoga with good results.
Been thinking as well.

I believe my symptoms were caused by a drop in hormone levels, which were boosted by the iodine.
When on more than 100 mg Iodine a day I did indeed feel some of the signs described by Lilypond10 :

Trapper says that Iodine makes the hormones receptors work better. But maybe also some more hormones are produced. It seems strange that if my hormones receptors were working better, they just would deteriorate in a few days off Iodine?

It this is a bug "Lyme" or whatever (Mycoplasma?) that causes this Sjogren's Syndrome, the way I can fight it seems to be intensely hormone-related.

"Lyme borreliosis reinfection: might it be explained by a gender difference in immune response?"
"...Women of reproductive age are believed to handle infections better than men, having a stronger tendency to show Th1-type responses and expression of higher levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines, and they also develop higher antibody titres than men when vaccinated. However, the female immune response fluctuates with the menstrual cycle. In general, oestrogen has a stimulatory effect on the immune system whereas testosterone acts as a suppressor. When women enter the menopause their levels of oestrogen decrease and thereby the stimulatory effect diminishes, leading to an altered immune status. All except one of the women in our study were postmenopausal, and this could be a factor explaining why more women than men became reinfected with B. burgdorferi."

So Iodine would be a way to kill the bugs through added immunity response (at least for menopausal ladies...)? I don't remember this being discussed but I think it is an interesting lead. Or did I just stumble on something everybody knows!?

Now if lower chakra's consumption of selenium thanks to a generous male would boost the oestrogen levels, it would really be nice!
Kind of killing two birds with one stone! lol!
