It is strange that, if Colloidal Silver is so bad, they can only find 2 cases of significant agryria out of hundreds of thousands of people that have used it. In all probability, these two individuals took way too much or most likely had other conditions that cause it to deposit in their skin.

Shao turns a blind eye to significant evidence that silver works. As a matter of fact, this was the agent of choice for many illnesses before Antibiotics were discovered. The pharmaceutical companies do not want you to know about the effectiveness of silver because they can not mark it up 20 times or more as they do many drugs. I myself experienced the wonder of silver nasal spray for sinus infections during the 1970's. Nothing else worked nearly as well.

Actually, these risks are minimal and rare. The truth is that colloidal silver is very beneficial and effective against many pathogenic organisms for which there is not a more effective treatment. If you have any doubts about the effectiveness of colloidal silver go the the colloidal silver forums. If you try to grow a culture in medium with colloidal silver added, very few microbes can successfully grow in it.

The FDA also banned tryptophan and has been chided for this negligent action that it has finally rescinded. It is not the colloidal silver that is the problem, it is the misuse of it.

Actually, there is a lot of FDA approved stuff that is in the drug store that should not be. This includes most statin drugs. The real motive for removing colloidal silver and other products from the internet is to sell more pharmaceuticals at a higher price.

The real problem is that there are people who do not use common sense and who go overboard with alternatives and then refuse to accept responsibility for their own actions.
