Need help convincing Doctor!

Hi, I need some help to convince my general doctor to refer me to an endocrinologist. Last week I had an a.m. cortisol blood test done, and my doc said if it was abnormal than he would refer me to the endo. Much to my surprise and dissapointment, I got the results back yesterday, and supposedly it was normal!
Now, some would think, good, you're normal, but I think alot of us here know how screwed up allopathic medicine can be when it comes to the adrenals, and also how incredibly lousy you can feel while their tests say normal.
I just got my latest saliva test resutlts back a couple of weeks ago, and I was at my worst yet. Extremely low cortisol output. This was after a year and a half of following what I thought was the protocol for what was somewhat mild adrenal fatigue. So, I figure, I better get checked by an endo since what I am doing is not working. I just can't beleive that now my doc won't refer me because my a.m. cortisol was "normal". I wish he could jump in my skin for an hour and tell me I'm normal.

Anyway, does anyone now any good links or sites where i can maybe print out some good scientific articles that can help to convine him that my saliva test is real and better than the blood test? I hope to go in to the office on friday and have a boatload of info for him, and plead my case. I will bring my saliva results, but as I said at this point, he doesn't think it valid from his perspective. Any info would be appreciated, thanks, deven
