If all fails, follow "The Beverly Hills Diet". Mainly fruit. Five weeks, no calorie counting etc. I've done it, and lost 11 kgs in 5 weeks.
To be successful, you must read the book first. Easy to read, non-medical. What worked for me was, I've read the book every single day. It was so encouraging. Years ago, I gave it a try, for 4 days. Was so dizzy, fell in the bath tub, while cleaning it. Taht was, because I did not read book, just copied "daily menus" I've only realised later, I could and should have eaten much more per day. Anyway, I am very happy, kept it off for four years now, just with maintainence, twice a week.
