They're looking in the wrong place

Y'all, I apologize for all the deleted texts directly below me. There was a misunderstanding. It's been addressed. That's all I'll say. You missed some good stuff. :-)

Now... we are about to wrap up yet another Jerry Lewis MDA telethon. I'm going to tell y'all something. It may be the last words I ever say on the internet. I don't know.

They won't find a cure because they are looking in the wrong place. Yes, it's genetic. Absolutely. But that's not the cause. The cause is neuropeptides and in some instances, neurotransmitters. You've got to look at the mind-body connection, You've got to quit looking under the microscope, which I admit, is pretty darn fascinating, and you need to look at the patients. This disease isn't like the others. It's not a "here, take two aspirins and call me in the morning" kind of disease. There will never be a drug to cure of fix muscular dystrophy. Never. NEH-VUR. It's a comprehensive, wholistic, spiritual-emotional-mental-physical aberration. You've got to heal the PERSON, not the disease.

This is the TRUTH, folks, from one who lives with it every day.

You've got to heal the person.

Love from a pure heart to all,

Donna
