The doctors put you on a diet and try to treat one's cholestorol and high blood pressure. I was 45. My blood pressure was close to 120 over 80 at the time.
I was taking 10 mg once a day of Zestril.
With my first heart attack my cholestorol was 167.
In fact my cholestorol level then was why I wasn't put on a statin until after
my 2nd heart attack at age 49. My cholestorol was a little over 200 by then.

I know that the 2 eye doctors proved with xrays that the niacin and potassium
iodide reversed the plaque.

Wow 1954 they knew 2 years before I was born.

I will post some more interesting info about L'Arginine which was also proven
to reverse plaque with xrays, and lower blood pressure.
