Epsom salts, baking soda, H2O2 in the garden.............

I was just looking at Mia's tomatoes and am very impressed. Made me want to pass along my experience from this year.

I got a redneck hot tub at a yard sale and do love a good soaking with a cup or two of epsom salt, cup of baking soda, and a cup of hydrogen peroxide. I have very limited space for gardening, but I do use all of it. Instead of discharging the gray water, I would save it and pour it around my plants. I had slowly built up the soil organically with leaves, grass clippings and some cow manure. The only thing different thing I did this year was the gray water.

Some results:

1) Cayenne and Peter pepper plants. I have raised them before and about 30 inches tall is about normal. I am 5'8" tall and the plants are as tall as my head. Prolific production of peppers to boot.

2) Bell peppers. Same type of thing. Normally 2 feet tall and a little production. 4-5 feet tall and prolific also.

Even the tomatoes were more productive than usual.I remember reading somewhere that baking soda would make tomatoes taste sweet. My experience is that organic soil would do that also.
