Hernia repairs

I have had four abdominal hernia surgeries. The first one, mesh was used, it got infected, after five months of it not healing,(i have diabetes,and it was infected with MRSA), I had the second one done. They found more hernias, and used a different mesh. This one also got infected, so I had a third surgery. I can't remember what he did that time, but it didn't work either, and also got infected with MRSA. I changed doctors, and had a fourth one done. This doc said he folded my abdomin down several times and sewed it! He said he went way overboard with me, but that I would be "thanking" him! It has been four years since that surgery,(each time they went in, they found more hernias), and I have a ventral hernia. I am in constant agonizing pain, and without insurnace to get anything for the pain. I have severe scar tissue. Besides the four hernia ops, I had three ceasareans. This has ruined my life, now I cannot do hardly anything. I can't stand or walk for more than a minute or two, without severe pain, i can't even hold my grandchildren. He also told me that it was pulled so tight, that my stomach would not hold as much food as before! I have never heard of this type of hernia repair, and have looked at hundreds of pages on the net, trying to find any one lese who has had this done. Has anyone else ever heard of this? When I stand up, I feel like my guts are gonna burst through! It is the most terrible pain I have ever been through. Thanks, Gena
