Transmutation - the Iodine connection
Fascinating and too long to be reproduced here :

Somehow an explanation of the way the alchemical body makes use of the electrical body. You CAN renew yourself with yoga and manipulation of energies.
In my view (from my yogic experimentation)
Iodine allows for unimpaired electrical circulation in the body. This is what the clearing of the nadis is about.
Iodine supplementation = a kind of nadi shoddhana.
Consequence of
Iodine sufficiency = a body able to accomplish the transmutations it needs.
Iodine Deficiency = inability to move that electricity in the nadis and as a consequence limitation of transmutations. Which implies various deficiencies since they cannot be remedied by transmutation. This fits with the Cayce model of very few elements necessary for the body.
And note that for transmutations Magnesium is required :
"A proposed mechanism was described in which Mg adenosine triphosphate, located in the mitochondrion of the cell, played a double role as an energy producer. In addition to the widely accepted biochemical role of MgATP in which it produces energy as it disintegrates part by part, MgATP can also be considered to be a cyclotron on a molecular scale. The MgATP when placed in layers one atop the other has all the attributes of a cyclotron in accordance with the requirements set forth by E.O. Lawrence, inventor of the cyclotron. "
"It was concluded that elemental transmutations were indeed occurring in life organisms and were probably accompanied by a net energy gain."
Could it be that we severely deplete ourselves of Magnesium because too many transmutations have to be accomplished when we need this or that element?
