Continuous Outbreak?

I haven't been diagnosed with herpes. The first "outbreak" was diagnosed by the doctor as a yeast infection. It was SUPER itchy red bumps that were not located in or on the vagina, they were in between my butt cheeks. It cleared up in about 2 weeks, also after being on yeast infection medicine. 3-4 months later I got a sore on the lip of my vagina....it wasn't super itchy or too painful....it broke open but now it looks like I have another sore appearing towards the top of my vagina. Is it possible to have an outbreak where the sores don't all appear at once?
