If you google free spyware/virus tools, you will find a lot of programs. Some of them say they are free and you download and then find out that all they do is find the bad stuff in your computer. You then have to pay for removal, so be sure and watch for that.....

I have run many different spyware removal programs and each one picks up different stuff. Very strange!

You might also do a disk clean up on your computer. That might speed it up, too. Run a disc defragment, too.
