I'm a 34 year old going back to school. I graduated in 2002 with a Bachelors from a university in TN. Now, I'm attempting to go back to school (community college) and I'm being told I have to have the second series of MMR's to be admitted. I had the first series when I was 2 months old. The law changed in 1999 and now you have to have two sets. I've tried to find an exemption form to sign for this but haven't found one. The only exemption form the college offers is a form for Hep B vaccine that you HAVE to fill out before acceptance for admission that gives you an option to take it or exempt it. Can you believe this? It seems insane to me that I should HAVE to take a MMR vaccine to attend school at 34 years old. What is going on?
Does anyone have any suggestions about how to exempt out of this. I do NOT want live viruses and nasty stuff injected into me just to go to school. Totally ridiculous!
That's like telling me that I HAVE to be in a clinical trial and have people inject me with unknown substances to attend college. What the...?
