I wish I knew how long recovery lasts. I just shy of 4 months post-removal (after having Mirena for 3 years) and the post-removal effects are still really bad. Very few of us are having much luck getting a doctor to help us pinpoint exactly what is wrong, and thus, aren't having much luck getting any treatment either. I have an appointment with my OBGYN on Aug. 6th to discuss my problems and I'm hoping we'll do some intensive hormone testing. It seems like it shouldn't be THIS hard to figure out what is happening.....
I'm so sorry about your hair. The health of my hair went to hell with Mirena, but I didn't lose it. That's hard on a woman and I hope it stops soon and it grows back beautifully.
***If anyone actually gets an estrogen dominance diagnosis (which is what I suspect causes the removal effects), can you PLEASE let me know???*****
