Re: Kinda gross Question

yes, I had that exact same type of discharge most of the 8 months that I had mirena. It freaked me out at first, but then I got used to it. Every time I would go to the bathroom the pressure would force out those "tissue" clots. Sometimes they would be clear, sometimes a little reddish color to them. So you are not the only one. I figured it was tissue that was being scraped from the uterine walls by the IUD. My GYN also told me that your body sheds white blood cells with the mirena in because it views the IUD as a foreign body, and is thus trying to rid itself of it.

I had mine removed three days ago because I could not stand the side effects anymore: constant cramping, weight gain, bloating, sweating, headaches, dry eyes, moodiness, fatigue, joint and muscle aches, back pain. I am 28 and was very healthy before Mirena.

Since I just had mine removed days ago, I am having a normal period now. It's almost a blessing. Hopefully I will stop having those flesh clots come out constantly now.
