"There were a variety of theories presented during the conference on what did cause global warming – all of them involving various aspects of an increasingly active sun and ocean temperature oscillations like El Niño vs. La Niña. Most scientists agreed the actual warming probably involves many, if not all these mechanisms. Tragically, however, very little research money is spent refining these theories."

"Global Warming" is caused by the disruption of the "natural" cycles such as the carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen, etc. etc. Weather extremes, the desertification of the planet, wildlife loss, etc. etc. are mere symptoms of these disruptions...

What are the disruptions caused by? Deforestation, pollution, ubiquitous manufacture and use of chemicals, and yes, drilling, refining and burning fuels, etc. etc.

No one thing is responsible... or is "the" cause.
