Re: tic delaroux

Hi I am Kathy. My husband has had tic delaroux for a year now. He was finally diagnosed about 3 weeks ago. The neurologist that he saw ordered an MRI just for a precaution. He found a benign tumor pushing against the nerve. He is having surgery on Tuesday to remove the tumor. There is a procedure that will eliminate the pain for someone without a tumor. The process involves making a sling around the muscle or tissue pushing against the trig nerve. It is a very high rate of success procedure. We are in Illinois, but there are many surgeons that do it. It is a simple procedure. My husbands tumor surgery is going to be 6 hours long!!! He wishes that he could have the simple surgery. I know how much pain your husband is in. My husband is very good at tolerating pain, but the pain he had with this was unbearable. Bless their hearts and souls. Good luck to your husband, and I will say a prayer for him tonight. Please consider the surgery.
