Hives

Iam writing because my boyfriend has hives really bad right now.And we have been to the doctor and the prescribed him some medication that has not helped.So I was wondering if anybody had any ideas of a quick remedy to get rid of the hives really fast.We have tried some over the counter medication it has not helped.I really need some help here because it has gotten so bad that he will not even go out of the house because he has them all over his face.
